Patient Records & Information Management Accreditation Programme (PRIMAP)

Clinicians need access to complete patient records to ensure they can provide the most appropriate care.  Without effective health records management it is also impossible to facilitate accurate clinical coding and the financial impact of introducing Payment by Results and implementing HRG4 in 2009 brings even greater impetus to assuring the quality of these services.

To help you, we offer an accreditation programme focused solely on improving patient records and information management.  Used by acute and primary care trusts across the UK, and mandated by the Welsh Assembly Government for all acute and community hospitals, this unique programme will identify how you can change working practice and processes:

• to develop effective communication across all departments
• establish efficient retrieval and storage systems and
• set benchmarks for improving coding timeliness and accuracy.
