With the implementation of Darzi's quality vision, never has patient experience and satisfaction been so highly valued.  The DH is introducing new clinical quality metrics and PROMs are to form the backbone of quality assessment.  Together with clinician appraisal, recertification and relicensing, the challenge for clinicians is not providing but demonstrating the appropriateness and quality of care they deliver.
